Test corrections directions

- Log into your NC Edcloud account and select the Schoolnet application. Scroll down and select the test you would like to correct. Copy down or print out the questions you did not get correct.
- Come back to this page and scroll down to select the appropriate test to correct.
- Re-write the question on your test corrections sheet. Ask for a lesson from a student, parent or teacher and review the video lesson.
- Answer the question completely and correctly. Make sure you show all work! (Even if you received partial credit you must give an explanation and show all work.)
- Explain in one or two sentences why you did not have the correct answer, and why your new answer is correct. Be specific. Responding with "I didn't know the answer" will not receive any credit.

- Correct Answer:
- Explanation: To evaluate an expression we use the proper order of operations which we abbreviate as PEMDAS. This means to evaluate everything inside parenthesis first, then evaluate all exponents, then evaluate any multiplication and division in order from left to right and then evaluate addition and subtraction in order from left to right. When looking at this expression we see that there are ( ) so we evaluate inside the ( ) first. Inside the () there are both + and ÷. So division comes before addition so 12 ÷ 3 is the first thing to evaluate.
